A while back I needed a plumber. I asked a neighbor, who asked a neighbor, and eventually someone said, "I found a great one — local guy, does good work." That stuck with me. The best businesses in any town aren't the ones with the biggest ad budget. They're the ones a neighbor tells you about.

I started I Found Local to make that easier — to put the good local businesses in one friendly place, organized by town, so you don't have to scroll through a dozen review sites to find the bakery everyone's quietly raving about. We're starting in Lakeland, the Swan City, because it's home. From here, we'll add one town at a time.
